Web site makeover

Our new corporate structure had some side effects. One of them is the makeover of our web sites, an important task undertaken by the marketing department. Our transition to Gecko Alliance enables us to regroup all our older dedicated web sites into a single one with a much wider scope and now accessible through www.geckoalliance.com

We're taking this opportunity to perform a major redesign of the interface of our web presentation and to use a bunch of new tools now available to us (flash, video vignettes, online seminars, blogs, integrated search engine, etc.). Furthermore, we will make our new site the focal point of all our marketing activities in the coming months.

On site is designed to reflect our new corporate image and goals. It gives access to pertinent information on our products and services from various ways, the ultimate goal being able to get to the desired information in a minimum of clicks.

www.geckoalliance.com is divided in 9 sections. Brands, Industries and Solutions tabs link to products pages. Support tab gives info on our Tech Support departments and offers short online seminars on specific products. The Blog section is a novelty that we are presently testing. Blogs will let us write on miscellaneous topics in a more personal way.

The Gecko Depot section will support our new distribution activities in Canada. For now, it's only a promotional window on our new catalog of parts and products. But, before the end of the year, it will let Gecko Depot customer place their orders online through a secured eCommerce mini-site.

The Employment section lists all the job offers available at Gecko-Canada and, soon, the ones offered at Gecko-Corona. The About us tab explains our move towards Gecko Alliance and will soon include more pages to let the world know who we are. Finally the Feedback tab links to a form that web users can use to forward their questions, comments or requests to us.

I'm sure you realize that this project is a long one. For the time being, we put as many pages as we could online, mainly on Aeware by Gecko and CLASS products. In the next few months, we will publish the missing sections and we'll start the translation of the main pages in French.

Our older sites are still available but we intend to put them to rest as soon as possible.

This makeover is a team project that involves everyone in the Marketing department but it's Catherine Houle, through her magic, that gives life to our pages on the web.
