The introduction of our new in.xe platform was made with a twist a little different than usual. As you know, the launch took the form of a North-American tour with a rock show flavor. We named it the “In.xe “Walking on Water” Summer Tour 2007”.
First, our sales team, Gary Nugent, Perry Anderson, David McClure and Jean-Martin Simard, lent themselves graciously to a photo shoot where they were asked to dress up in jeans and walk on water.
Then, the photo was reprinted on promotional posters that were sent at the beginning of the summer to all customer targets; posters on which we had listed the names of cities (instead of company names) where the tour would stop for product demos. Once dates and venues were confirmed by our sales managers, customers were sent real show tickets, numbered so they can get a chance to win an iPod, an iTunes gift certificate or a Fender guitar (to be chosen by the lucky winner) in a draw to be held in November.
Demo-stations with running products were made specially for the tour and protected in metal crates similar to the ones roadies use to move material for rock shows. Each sales manager also had at his disposal a full Powerpoint presentation (with more than 100 slides), flip charts and speaker notes for the audience. “Concert” t-shirts and mugs were supplied as giveaways.
Our sales team brilliantly took up the challenge to visit 40 customers and prospects in 40 days. They travelled Canadian and American roads through the heat of the summer to show them the advantages and promises of our new in.xe spa systems.
Now, we're entering the second phase of our program to prepare the introduction of in.xe to the rest of the industry during fall expos, aka the “Encore Presentations”! The 10'x20' and 10'X20' versions of our booth are being readied to present our new spa system at the Aqua Show and IPSE 2007 next November. We're also putting the final touch to a few promo (brochure, mailers, web pages) and support tools (TechBooks, QRCs).
All of us in Marketing, Brigitte, Nancy, Catherine, Adelmo and myself, with the collaboration of great friends, Luc Guillot, Jonathan Veilleux, Jean-Luc Trahan, Félix Faucher, to name just a few, are happy and proud to have been able to support our sales team, to “rock'n roll” a little while promoting our new in.xe.
